What is the difference between a library and a framework? Is React one or the other?
Model answer
With a library you call the code when you need it. With a framework, the framework defines the structure and calls your code. React is a library focused on the view layer. It does not include routing, form handling or data fetching, so teams add tools such as React Router and TanStack Query.
Frameworks built on React, such as Next.js, add routing, server rendering and more on top.
