How would you structure a MERN app that has to grow?
Model answer
Keep a clear layered backend (routes, controllers, services, models), validate at the edges, add background jobs for slow work (queues), cache hot reads, keep the frontend organised by feature with a data layer, add tests, logging and monitoring, and design the API so you can add versions. Scale only when measurements show the need.
