How do async and await work in Python?
Model answer
An async def function is a coroutine. await pauses it until another awaitable completes, letting the event loop run other tasks. asyncio.run starts the loop and asyncio.gather runs coroutines concurrently. Calling blocking code inside a coroutine blocks the whole loop, so use async libraries or run it in a thread.
