How it works

- Press Convert and download your file. Your pictures are not uploaded.
What to expect
How it works, honestly: the conversion happens inside your browser, so your pictures are never sent to our servers. Each picture becomes one page, scaled to fit without cutting anything off. Word with pictures keeps your scan as an image. Word with editable text and the searchable PDF use text recognition (OCR) that runs on your device; it is accurate on clear, upright, printed pages and weaker on handwriting, blurry photos, tables and columns, so always check names, numbers and dates. The reading files, about 3 MB for English, are downloaded once from a public content network and then kept by your browser. Very large photos are shrunk a little to keep the file size reasonable.

Is it really free, and do I need an account?
Yes. There is no sign-in and no daily limit, because the work happens on your own device.
Are my pictures uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF, Word or text file is built in your browser. For text reading, the browser downloads the reading files once; your pictures are not sent anywhere.
Can I combine many pictures into one PDF?
Yes. Add up to 40 pictures, set the order, rotate any that are sideways, and each one becomes its own page in a single file.
Can I get editable text in Word?
Yes. Choose Word (editable text). The tool reads the text with OCR, in English, Hindi or both, and puts it into a Word file. It works best on clear, upright, printed pages, and you should check names, numbers and dates because OCR can make mistakes.
What does a searchable PDF mean?
The PDF keeps your picture exactly as it looks and adds invisible text behind it, so you can search for words and copy text. It works for English. For Hindi, use Word or a text file.
Can I put a password on the PDF?
Yes. Type a password before you convert and the PDF asks for it when opened. Keep the password safe, because we cannot recover it for you.
Which formats can I add?
JPG, PNG and WebP. For HEIC photos from an iPhone, share or save them as JPG first.
Why did my file get smaller than the original pictures?
Very large photos are scaled down to the File size level you choose and saved as JPG inside the file, which keeps it easy to email. Choose High quality to keep more detail. Pictures with transparency are placed on a white background.
