What is the difference between a CTE, a view and a temporary table?

SQL subqueries, CTEs and set operations · Freshers and experienced

Model answer

A CTE exists only for one statement. A view is a saved query stored in the database that you can reuse. A temporary table stores actual data for the session or transaction, can be indexed, and is useful when you reuse an expensive result many times.
