What is NumPy and why is it faster than lists?
Model answer
NumPy provides fixed-type n-dimensional arrays stored in contiguous memory, with vectorised operations implemented in C. Operating on a whole array at once avoids slow Python loops, so numeric code is often much faster and shorter.
