What is CORS and why do you need it?

Express basics and middleware · Freshers

Model answer

Browsers block a web page from reading responses from a different origin unless the server allows it with CORS headers. If your React app on one origin calls your API on another, add the cors package with an allowed origin list. CORS protects users in browsers. It is not an authentication or server security feature.
