Model answer
Validate on the client for fast feedback (required fields, formats, lengths), and always validate again on the server because client checks can be bypassed. Show errors next to the field, link them with aria-describedby, and do not rely on colour alone.
Schema libraries such as Zod let you share rules between client and server.
