Model answer

Always ask two or three. Good ones: "What does a typical day look like in this role?", "How will success be measured in the first three months?", "What training or development is available?", "What are the next steps in the process?" Questions show interest and help you decide whether the job suits you.

Avoid asking only about pay, leave or how quickly you can be promoted in the first interview. Do not say "No questions"; if everything was already covered, say so and ask about the next steps.
